Redstar Gold Corp. (TSX.V:RGC) is a Vancouver based junior exploration company focused on high-grade gold exploration in North America.
In Alaska, the Company is exploring the district-scale high-grade 100% owned Unga Gold Project. The Unga Gold Project contains several high grade gold/silver vein systems, two of which. Apollo & Sitka were sites of historically reported high grade gold production. At Unga, a comprehensive exploration program was completed in the summer of 2014 and results were used to determine sites for a 8 hole, 1500m diamond drill hole program which was successfully completed in May of 2015. Assay results gathered from the borehole program showed some very high grade gold and silver intersections including 202g/t Au over 1.9m and 35.3g/t Au over 2m, which established continuity of the Shumagin Gold prospect at depth and along strike.
Redstar completed 32 (2016 – 7; 2017 – 25) drill holes drill program totaling ~6,500 meters at the Shumagin Gold Zone spaced over a strike length of 1,500 m. The program was designed to test the down-dip and along-strike expansion potential of high-grade vein/breccia mineralization at various structural elevations and was successful in expanding and extending known mineralization at the Shumagin high-grade gold zone.
At the Newman-Todd Gold Project, which is located in the Red Lake Mining District of Northern Ontario, Redstar Gold Corp retains a 30% interest. A Joint Venture was established to carry out further exploration and development of the project with Confederation Minerals (TSCV: CFM).
Redstar Gold controls 2 board seats and approximately 18% of NV Gold Corp. (TSXV: NVX).
